As in my blog name "Soaring and Photography" I also want to talk about soaring .I started my soar training in 2009 it was an amazing feeling when i had my first take-off ,I got pulled in the air by a cable winch (the rope can be over 1,5km long).

In a height of about 400-700m (depends on rope lenght) over ground the rope is released and from that point you are able to fly around while you are constantly decreasing your height (sadly gliders don´t have engines) but sometimes you are able to find a thermal up wind you can stay up there for hours.My longest flight until now lasted 1 hour whithout these up winds you can stay up there for about 5 minutes.
This spring i had my first soloflight ,before that i always flew in a two-seater with my teacher on the backseat.My heart pumped tons of adrenaline through my heart but I landed the plane safely.It was one of the best days in my life.

Sadly this hobby is very expensive but it is worth every penny ,I just love every second up there!
That sounds like a lot of fun. It has to be quite a rush.

AntwortenLöschenThis sounds simply amazing. When I was little I always said I wanted to be a pilot. I never got to be a pilot (and I don't really want to be one anymore) but what you describe sounds like lots of fun!
